Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before booking your course. By attending a class you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.
Completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with Kiln Studio.
Payment of the full course fees must be made in advance and should be made at the time of placing a booking. It is not possible to attend a course unless payment has been received unless organised prior to that start of the course.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email
For courses and workshops we can only provide a refund (minus a 10% admin fee) for cancellations made more than 10 days before the start date. For cancellations less than 10 days before the course or workshop there will be no refunds or transfers. You may elect someone to take you place in the course or class.
All clients are asked to agree to our terms and conditions upon booking a course or workshop
If a course or workshop is cancelled you will be offered a full refund or a gift card to the same value of your course.
Once you have committed to a course or workshop, we recommend that you attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the programme. If the participant fails to attend all or any part of the course the full course fees are payable and we do not offer full or partial course date transfers.
A substitute attendee may be named at any time before the course at no additional cost, but a substitute cannot attend halfway through a course. Once a course has commenced the same student needs to attend the sessions.
Requests to transfer to an alternative course or date must be made in writing by email.
Transfers may be made up to 10 days before the course start date and will incur no additional fee. However, transfers are subject to availability and we have no obligation to ensure suitable alternatives are available.
A booking can only be transferred on one occasion. Requests for subsequent transfers will be treated as cancellations.
It is to the discretion of the tutor to not accept a late arrival to a course if it is potentially detrimental to fellow students. This will be treated as a late cancellation.
Crown Works Pottery takes a diligent approach to health and safety for the sake of all staff and users. Students are agreeing to abide by the guidelines of our Health & Safety instructed by tutors. Repeated failure to do so will result in immediate termination of course without refund.
Experienced and trained staff only will handle and fire your ceramic work. However, by the nature of ceramics there is always a risk of technical failure for which we cannot be held responsible.
Ceramics is an expensive process and we try hard to keep the costs down. We price the classes based on an estimated output. We do not like to cap peoples creativity, but we have very limited shelf and kiln space.
You will be asked to select your preferred pieces for firing, glazing etc if you exceed the number of items specified by your tutor or described in each classes information page on our website there is an option to pay for extra pots in addition to the course fees. All other items will be recycled by the studio.
You will be emailed when your pieces are ready for collection, usually this is within three weeks after the last date of your course, but this can take longer depending on our kiln firing scheduling.
We recommend you collect your finished work as soon as possible once you have received the pickup instructions via email to help keep our storage area clear, therefore avoiding damage.
If finished ceramic work is not collected within 2 months of the pick up email being sent out, we will sadly have to dispose of it due to space issues, this is detailed in the pick up email. Alternatively you can organise for your pots to be sent to you at an additional cost.
